Hi,

I'm relatively new on the scene and am in need of some advice from the wise.

I'm designing web pages for the k-12 audience of nyc public schools.
I am also adamantly holding to the HTML 4.01 transitional DTD.  I
also assume that my pages must be degrade to NN 4.x.

So here's the question:  What does that mean?  I have been using NN
4.75 mac to do my checking until I found that these same pages  were
not looking so hot on NN 4.70 mac (css issues).  So should I assume
that NN 4.x  = NN 4.0, and if so, where can I get a version to use as
a tester?  It is obvious to me that NN 4.x is a seriously varied and
confusing term.
