you can try selecting them and then copying into Photoshop or Fireworks,
tends to be a bit 'lossy' though. if they are the size you require them to
be in the word doc, i'd suggest doing as you suggested :) screenshot and
then fiddle about with it. if the client doesn't have the original images,
it might be an idea to check he has permission to use them.
