Yes, and another point is that it may cost 20,000 to build from scratch
but you don't build from scratch every time. Any sensible
designer/programmer re-uses code as much as possible. Seems to me that
if they charged $50 a throw for com. use they'd make a fortune but at
$1500 they'll make enemies.

Anyone guess how long it will take for the open source alternative to
appear? My guess is soon, very soon :-)
