You have to "print as pdf", not export. Usually Acrobat install a
proprietary printer driver.
If not - and this is a better solution anyway - install a postscript
driver printer, print as .ps (file) then convert the ps to .pdf using
the distiller. Using this method gives more accuracy of the .pdf
output.
