Chris -

You need those privileges for IUSR_machine_name who/which is NOT a member of
everyone ...

I use DCOM objects for a couple of things here and they are a pain in the
neck to configure, but work nicely when properly set up.

Bob, thanks for the tip.  I made the EXE, and it compiled fine.  I then ran
dcomcnfg and added both access and launch privileges for "Everyone" but I'm
still getting this confounded permissions err (Server object, ASP 0178
(0x80070005)).  I'm gonna try this on my home machine and make sure it's not
a computer-specific issue (although I did already un/reinstall IIS).
