I just couldn't resist - this from a *descluded* chick that does the HTML, PHP, and SQL all by
hand in HTML-Kit and has no certs.  I learn very well by reading books and surfing the web.  I
have learned a TON from evolt alone - way more than I would in some certification courses.
Certifications are a good start in judging a person's qualifications, but I wouldn't make my final
judgment based on them.

To each his own, I've seen awesome sites done by hand-coders and WYSIWYG users.
