Jay,

Apart from the syntax checker, phpMyAdmin is a web-based, PHP-based GUI
which I use and find pretty good. It's not system-based, it can connect to
several databases (I haven't tested it but the conf files seems like it's
possible), and you can manage users and grants.

You know it, I'm sure, but for others out there who don't... I thought I'd
post this info.
