I don´t know if this helps you, but if I want to download a webpage I use
offline explorers and not Internet Explorer. I think this one is nice:
www.metaproducts.com -> OfflineExplorer. It is very configurable and
easy to use, although it isn´t able to fullfill all your wishes. It is also the
best working offline explorer I´ve ever found. Offline Explorer does not
rename the files and changes URLs to make them usable offline.
