Thanks for your advice.

I suggested to my friend that she should contact her former employer to find
out if he is aware that she is just linking(posting the urls) to the images
on their site and not hosting the images on the tripod site.

I also suggested that she should provide a link to their site(homepage) and
clearly identify that the images are the property of politicswatch.com
