Hmmm...a good argument. Could you please stop ruining my theories <g>.

On the other hand, as already stated some spiders (mainly Google, I suppose)
do download images for caching purposes. I don't know if Google spiders
would account for 12% of the hits (seems like a bit too much), but the 12%
does certainly include some spiders.

That said, we're back where we started: the noscript percentages of counter
programs include a fair number of spiders, but it's impossible to say how
many. Less than I thought at first (I assumed that almost all of the 12%
were spiders), but they do have some impact on the stats.
