[thelist] New site - Critique for look/feel/user experience

Is the entire site suppose to disappear when you rollover the menu links
on the left hand side? I could definitely see this as a stumbling block
to usability.

When I first loaded up the site and rolled over the menu links on the
left side the nice website that you have was covered over by a very
large grey square. Only the menu items were visible.

However, once I clicked on either style 2 or style 3 (both of which
functioned fine) the problem was solved once I returned to style 1. When
I clicked on style 4 the problem returned for just that style. You
obviously have something different between the 4 styles. Style 2 and 3
seem to work fine.

When I click on a link within the site, the problem returns with style
1.

One thing that I have noticed in the default style is that the
background of the text and the menu cell do not line up, whereas, once I
click on style 1 they do.

Hope this makes sense and helps.

TechSpecs:
OS: Windows 2000 SP2
Browser: Internet Explorer 6

Haven't tested it with anything else yet.
