[thelist] JavaScript date validation question

There are a couple of complications with doing this.

One important gotcha is the fact that users may not have their PC's
date/time set correctly.

Another factor is time zones. For example, it may be today in California,
but tomorrow somewhere else in the world (far to the East). Or, if it's
within three hours of midnight in California, it's already the next day in
New York. JavaScript's Date object's getTimezoneOffset() method may help
some, but there's also no guarantee that the user has their PC's time zone
set correctly.

Subject: [thelist] JavaScript date validation question

Hello all,

I need to validate that a date entered using list boxes (i.e. there's a box
to select the month, another box for the day, and another for the year) is
at least today or greater. Unfortunately, I left my JavaScript reference
guide at home (grrrr), so can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

Vaelerie
