It may be that the more professional site feels less accessible. If given
more of a personality, the contact might increase.

This could be accomplished with a friendly photo and bio on a contact/author
page.

Then the author stops becoming an unreachable, cold consultant, and is now
another developer facing the very same challenges and learning processes as
the rest of us.
