Jason,

|Looks good and downloads lovely and quickly. The cutesy factor is great,
|couple of things though -

Great! Thanks :)

|* The images look too small - it would be nice to see larger images of the
|animals

There will be some larger images of the animals in the content areas. The
'client' per se, wanted LOTS of animal images. I'm hoping to incorporate bigger
ones in the reading text..I had to make them smaller for load times and to be
able to scrunch all that good stuff like navigation in there ;-) I'll post again
for a final look see, then maybe we can discuss this again and see what you
think?

|* Java applet - too slow loading to use on a homepage? It really makes lower
|spec machines crunch

Yeah, well ;-P This was a really important factor to the group, so I found the
fastest loading one that I could and used as little quantity pictures as I could
and get the effect they wanted. I'm hoping the rest of the page loads while the
applet loads--does the rest of the page not load before the applet gets done?

|* Ordering of the navigation - is 'About Us' more important than the
|'Articles'?

Yes and no. The articles intended are going to be about the exotic animal laws
in the state (in detail), what has happened to others and their pets, which
animals are illegal/legal/unknown, etc. Most of the people who will come to the
site will probably know already who the group is, and their main goal is to find
out what's going on in regards to their animals..maybe I should use some other
term than "Articles"? maybe "Info"? They are going to be in an article type
structure...hm.

|* Page Headline text - looks good, but is annoyingly difficult to read

Really? What res are you reading in? I do have to add some drop shadows to
those, my Photoshop conviently dropped them as I was optimizing. See
http://papocketpets.com/about/index.html as compared to any other interior site
header. Does the drop shadow help--or what could make it more readable other
than changing the font?

Thanks a bunch for your time and comments!
Gina
