The highest form of protection is a trademark, but this is not universal and
is limited in several ways.
Copyright exists from time of publication but is not a blanket prohibition
on others using the same "name" or similar name provided it is not a
straight theft of material or attempt to deceive, or could confuse -
"passing off".
Domain names are the lowest on the totem pole of legal protection and will
not prevail against a registered company whose name has been hijacked by a
cyber squatter.
