To get the best quality greyscales on a 300dpi printer, first resize the image
so it is at 300dpi at the actual size you want to print it, drop the midtones
down 10% using "curves" or "levels", then convert the image to a bitmap set to
"diffusion dither". This will prevent the printer "screening" the image, and -
in effect - give you many more levels of grey.
