I've already emailed the author asking him what he was on when he wrote
"The push to make authoring tools produce standards-compliant code runs
up against the formidable obstacle that many Web surfers are using
outdated, non-compliant browsers. If the authoring tool codes strictly
to standards, it will lock out those legacy browsers."
