nuff said, you might try adding

td { text-align: left; } to your stylesheet or explicitly setting
align="left" on every td.  The other option is to remove the DTD
declaration, I think.  I've never seen the latter option in action, so I
cannot vouch for it working.

The reason this happens in because IE 6.0 is correctly propagating the
alignment into the table cells from parent objects.  MS, in all its infinite
wisdom, just decided it was time to fix this well loved bug that most
browsers embraced.
