[thelist] WebTrends search engine "visits" vs "searches"

I need a little help decoding WebTrends' terms.

(Note: this is WebTrends 4.0)

What is the difference between "Visits" from the Top Referring Sites
table and "Searches" from the Top Search Engines table?  I have a
WebTrends report that shows 90,000 Visits from Google on the Top
Referring Sites table, however, the Top Search Engines table only
shows 30,000 Searches from Google.  Why the difference and how does
WebTrends distinguish which goes where?
