With the added hassle that your newsletter bloats in size to accommodate
the two versions, chewing up bandwidth (both yours and the recipient's).

The problem usually isn't with email clients not understanding HTML. It's
with email clients that don't understand ALL HTML. ;)
So they reproduce some things properly and mangle others.

What a pain, eh?
