I used one of those css layout and modified it too.  They are exceelent to use
as they are and to learn more about how css works.

since you don't seem concerned about elagence, how about a three-column
table with <iframe>'s instead?

otherwise, you could make one huge frame that was the size of the window
(100%x100%) and then put another frameset inside there. that would
effectively do what you wanted. although it would be rather ugly.

why don't you just get one of the three column layouts from
www.glish.com ? if you don't know what i'm talking about, take a look at
this. http://www.glish.com/css/
