no hack necessary.  just don't include a width for the button and set
padding to 0px.

yeah, a div is a block level element so it will expand to fill the entire
width of the container it's in.  consequently, aligning the parent's content
to the right will have no effect.  try setting the alignment on the div to
the right or setting the width of the div.
