THe thing about this is.
For most webpages I visit I don't stay on them long enough to care to
customize it for myself.

For along of thinsg I visit regularly, forums, news sites, etc... you already
can customise stuff.

For example, the news site unision.ie (im sure there's other examples) allows
to completely customize your news/portal experience.


Basically, it's not all that new idea. A lot of community sites already do it
and a properly implemented DOM will merely allow greater flexibility for
developers to implement it.
