The number is growing more and more in some areas at least.

Everyone in my office (mostly non techies) complains about the popups(*).
I tell them I can stop them.  They say "please" and so I disable JS on
their machine.

They run into some sites that don't work and I say "Well, in order avoid
the popups, this is what you have to do."

*No one* has asked that it be turned back on.


(*) My first suggestion is that they use Opera or Mozilla, but most of them
would sooner believe they could breath underwater than think they could use
a different browser.

One person actually started referring to me as a deity after I killed Flash
on her machine so she doesn't have to see those annoying ads everywhere.
