We are, also, are happy with dotster.  However, they sometimes solicit
emails to our clients, who have complained to us.  The only registrar, so
far, that hasn't solicited our customers via email is OpenSRS.org .  Their
API is a bit more complicated.  They have some very lengthy, cumbersome and
confusing agreements, but all in all they seem ok and I've heard good things
about them from others.
