[thelist] open PDf file using Flash MX

I am having a substantial amount of trouble trying to get Flash MX to launch
Adobe Acrobat Reader to view a PDF file.

I have written a .BAT file and that works, however, I do not want to use
.BAT files since that annoying little MS-DOS window opens and then closes.
Is there a way to open a PDF file without having to use a .BAT file?

Does anyone know the best way to open a PDF file once a Flash MX button is
pressed? Any help would be appreciated.
