Bah. The original RSS format was RDF too. RSS 0.91 was the hijacker.

Yep, despite the stats that are posted on the rss-dev mailing list
itself which clearly show 0.91 as the most popular. What were you saying
about FUD?

Yep. A dogs breakfast with no plan for extensibility, no way to make the
burden easier on aggregator writers, merely 0.9x with namespaces
allowed. Great idea, that.

Personally, I think both the pushers of RSS formats are full of crap.
The RSS 1.0 group need to get off their arses and make their format
easier for the layman to understand, and Dave Winer needs to get his
head out of his arse... err, don't quote me on that.

Anyway, the hostilities from both sides have siginificantly diminished
what RSS could have been.
