Andrew,

I understand a little better now.  Let me ask you.  Are your internet and
phone service provided by the same company?  It makes it easier to do what
you want to do if they are.  Have you thought about possible scenarios like
what if someone wants to call you from say Italy (my favorite spot)....who
will pay for the call?  What you might be able to use are the services of a
California based company called Dialpad www.dialpad.com.  They support
subscription PC to Phone telecom and the rates are great.  Also, check out
estara www.estara.com.  Let me know how things go.  I will continue to help
anyway I can.
