that's not an accurate representation on how cookies get deleted. they get
deleted one of two ways:
1) not giving an expiration date when creating the cookie
thereby causing them to be session cookies that will
disappear as soon as the browser is closed.
2) by giving an expiration date in the past so that when
the browser is closed and does cleanup of any expired
cookies, the one(s) you wish to delete are dealt with.
