[thelist] [Perl] Blosxom setup problems

ok, enough bashing my head against the wall for nothing. I have now
found out that NO perl scripts now function on my dev box. GRRRRRRRRRRR.
I just get the same "configuration error" in my browser window, OR the
whole script is printed to the browser window (so it is not being parsed)
and I get these in my server error logs:

directory: couldn't spawn child process: c:/phpdev/www/cgi-bin/dbi.cgi
[Fri Dec 27 08:51:47 2002] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] (2)No such file or
directory: couldn't spawn child process: c:/phpdev/www/cgi-bin/cookie.cgi
[Fri Dec 27 08:51:50 2002] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] (2)No such file or
directory: couldn't spawn child process: c:/phpdev/www/cgi-bin/crash.cgi
[Fri Dec 27 08:51:53 2002] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] (2)No such file or
directory: couldn't spawn child process:
c:/phpdev/www/cgi-bin/diff_upload.cgi

Now I have run these scripts before when I upgraded my phpdev install
specifically for the purpose of installing perl (the irony is not lost
on me) and have not changed any server settings so what is going on? All
I know is that one script crashed or just plain didn't run, could that
have corrupted the install? Am I holding my head the wrong way? Is perl
just plain EVIL???
Anyhoos, back to somewthing I know and trust ->PHP (can you say "comfort
zone"?)
