i use outlook everyday and have no problem getting it to quote
"correctly". but then again i've never used anything else so maybe i'm
just used to the way it does it?

here is what happens with me: when i reply to an email that comes from
the list i am greeted with a few blank lines on top of the replied-to
message. i then just delete those blank lines and start writing below
snipping where i need to. is this what you're bothered by? how do other
mail programs do it? do they start you out at the bottom of the email?

chris.
