I don't think so. You could put all your file into a CVS repository, but
you would still have to backup the repository.

You'd have to export a 'clean' version of your files to the htdocs directory.

CVS is a collaboration and version control (For more Information see  Karl
Fogels Book on CVS online at
http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/cvsbook.html).  However, I don't think CVS is a
good backup tool.
