Thanks to Christopher for replying to me before about this, got me going down
the right path, I hope, but still not quite there. I am trying to embed links
in an email for AOL users, and all the info I have found says use the <a> tag
specially for AOL as follows:
CLICK ON THIS LINK TO CONFIRM THE SUBSCRIPTION:
http://localhost:8082/navi.conf/0ec00e81a620c53d18
(NOTE FOR AOL MEMBERS: If the above is not a clickable link,
click on the following link instead:
<a href= "http://localhost:8082/mysm.reg/0ec00e81a620c53d18"> CONFIRM </a>
But with the above AOLs email client actually seems to add a <BR> tag to the
end of the URL. If I put spaces between the quotes and the URL then it adds a
<BR> tag to both ends. What gives? I thought AOL had sorted out all this type
of garbage years ago and this would be easy ;) Anyone seen this before? Have
any tricks?
thanks
