Many thanks to Ken, Hans and Gabriel... That's exactly the kind of info
I was after. I had some hazy recollections of a 'proper' way to do this
sort of thing from a course I did at uni but I just couldn't pin of a
name on it. I'll check out ER diagrams on Monday... I've used UML for OO
classes but never databases.

Gabriel, you mention SQL Server Enterprise Manager's Diagramming tool...
We're using SQL Server here so that could be useful. Is it bundled with
the installation or is it sold separately? I suspect I already know the
answer to that! ;-)
