Having done this kind of thing only once (install linux on a computer),
the first thing I would do the second time around is decide what
packages I want installed and install only those. Also if I had a
relatively quick machine I /would/ use a window manager, if I did not I
would go with command line only. (I happen to have a slow machine
running RH right now so I am in fact using only the command line.)
