[thelist] standard size for thumbnails?

For quite awhile I've been making my thumbnails somewhere between 100 to 120 wide by (whatever high depending upon the proportion of the original image).

Is there a standard or "expected" size for thumbnails? I'm thinking more in terms of reciprocal linking where a site accepts images as hypertext links rather than just the hypertext link itself.
