i've implemented a few multi-language sites and have formulated some ideas
on best practice.  ages ago we had this sort of conversation amongst the
rest of the people here that run evolt.org.  out of that conversation came
an epic response that contains alot of my theories on best practice in
multi-language content management.  while it's a response to a thread and
some context is bound to be lost, i still think it'll prove helpful (at
least i hope so).
