especially the "90-90" rule

as for apl, it's no wonder you had to take the time to document first!!

apl is the classic example of the "inverse documentation" rule that the more
concise the programming language, the more verbose the documentation has to
be

of course, as we all know, the exception to this rule is sql, which is
splendidly compact yet dazzlingly clear

i hardly ever find myself needing to document well written sql
