i could have. but, this was an experiment in building a site that degraded
to essentially a text-based version of the site if css wasn't used.

potentially good idea about the <h1>. however, an <h1>, for best search
engine relevance, should reflect the words found in the title, the url, and
the text linking to that page.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

got me on the plural bit. that's fixed now. fwiw, the product that shows
up on the homepage is completely random.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

that's something i would have done with a complete redesign. however, this
is strictly based off an existing design. the difference with this
implementation is the client has complete control over the content on the
homepage.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

i did a quick job of entering the product from his old site into the system
for the new site. i'm leaving the tweaking of things like pricing up to
him. i'm guessing he'll fill the price fields in with relevant information
so it won't say "call for pricing" anymore.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

this client is in the business of obtaining great products at rock-bottom
prices and turning them to one of two types of customers. the first is the
basic consumer who's interested in buying one. every one of those sales
happens on ebay. the second type is the customer who wants to buy in
quantity to resell on ebay. in both cases the retail price is there to give
both customers an idea of the retail price of the goods.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

that's probably due to my use of "margin: 5px auto;".

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

and in the case of copy, no say since the client has tools to control every
last drop of it.

thanks,

.jeff
