"Don't Make Me Think" by Steve Krug. Aside from the excellent
usability guidelines within, he teaches you how to run a simple but
effective usability test with small groups. If you are on a budget
this is perfect. Combined with the other suggestions you'll get from
thelist, it should really help you out.
