I personally differ on this "cheap" keyboard issue. I spent the money a few
years back on a good ergonomic keyboard and I am VERY happy with it. Not
only does it feel better, but I can type faster. Try it--you'll never go
back and your fingers, hands, forearms and little Carpal's Tunnels will
thank you. :)

I furthermore don't see why a keyboard can't last a few years. Perhaps try
to avoid using a hammer and icepick for typing.
