you're kidding, right?

speed and stability are all relative to the quality of the programmer and
the code they write.  it really doesn't matter what the
platform/os/middleware/database is (in general and with obvious exceptions).

php, mysql, and linux are all free, if you place no value on your time.

yeah, php would be an upgrade from 4.5.  and cf5 or cfmx would be an upgrade
from php.
