email problems ( was Re: XHTML and mime types (was Re: [thelist] xhtml + custom tags))

i know i'm not the only one seeing this...

some people are posting to thelist using some type of non-text setting

as a consequence, their posts have attachments (despite the fact that our
list server strips attachments), which turn out to be simple text files

it's a bloody nuisance to open them

would one of the admins please re-publish the guidelines here for how to
avoid this?

this came up before, and i know it's solvable


not to pick on you in particular, wesley, yours was just the most recent
