Not in my experience here in the UK but I might have been lucky

4/4 ISPs I have used in the UK allow it.....

primex.co.uk
businessserve.co.uk
easily.co.uk
vi.net (I think)

check with your ISP

However SSI is commonly controlled and may not be offered on basic accounts
