[thelist] Internet Explorer Script Error in AOL

I built a page with a Javascript slide show, which tests fine in NS 4 ­ NS7;
IE 5-6, but in AOL 7.0, 8.0, and 9.0 Optimized I get the following error
upon loading the page:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Char: 2
Error: Œdocument.images.slide¹ is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL: the url

Can anyone decode this error, or let me know what it is exactly that I am
missing here?  I am fairly new to javascript and not too sure what I have
done wrong here.  Sorry, I can¹t include a link to the page b/c it is
confidential material until it is posted live.
