[thelist] Peculiar position behavior in design - site check please...

Hi Folks,

I am in the midst of changing a client's site and would like comments. In
particular, the Biography page has a peculiar behavior in it. The floated
image jumps to the center (or rather near center) of the page after the
rendering is finalized. This occurs _only_ on my ie browser.

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; Q312461)

The position corrects itself when the page is resized or any of the menu
buttons are moused over. I suspect that it is related to the ie jump bug
but I think that I have enough position:float styles to counteract that.
A bunch of folks have looked at it with various browsers but, so far, no
one has responded with any comments. Perhaps they are not seeing the
problem or have I insulted everyone?

None of my other browsers show this symptom.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Netscape/7.1
(ax)
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.2) Gecko/20010726
Netscape6/6.1
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98) Opera 7.02

Any ideas?

Please forgive the huge background images. I am trying to persuade the
client to not go that route.

Notice how the image is right of center. It should be all the way over.

Thanks in advance,
-William
