Don't be TOO sure of that. I work for an 82k-person company (a large
east-coast US bank) and quite a few people, maybe as many as 5% of those,
work entirely from home, attending meetings by phone. I think it takes a
large company to have the resources to make "Alternative Workplace" plans
really feasible, but I'm not sure of that. If you can freelance, I'll bet
that you could be an employee, too. Our company is pretty conservative and
traditional, but their definition of "diversity" certainly includes
"differently abled" persons, and they will go to some lengths to
accommodate. If you have great customer management skills, your "limb"
skills won't matter so much!
