If I keep adding new products and if I have to keep indefinitely html
redirect pages for these pictures, isn' t my site going to inflate? Will I
have to keep these pages indefinitely?

it can be 2 solutions (since we don't know enough of your situation)

1. this online service uses a cache of some sort (that would be stupid)
2. you made a META REFRESH redirection, but you let the content within
BODY as it was.
So the online service still checks the content and doesn't find the
image files anymore.

My advice is :
make a VERY simple html page (body empty or contains just a "please wait
while being redirected" text.) with a META REFRESH that points to your
index page, and copy that page to the different html files you had.
So that there will be no more references to the image files.

the online tool will then work correctly. If not that means it is using
a CACHE.

Cheers,
Damien
