[thelist] Liquid problems in IE 6

I have a site I am working on that I am having problems getting to perform properly in IE 6.  It is set up as a "liquid" site, but for some reason IE has problems with the 100% width cells, making them much larger than they need be.  Here is a page showing the problem:

It is supposed to expand from 800 pixels out, but IE makes the righthand table cell much larger than necessary.  I have tried several techniques that have worked on other sites to no avail.  Any ideas?
