TIME TRACKER - the Project and Time Management Solution for your

TIME TRACKER is a Web based Application, created by an Object Soft team
to make your work easier by keeping track of your time and your
projects.

Many Software Developers have struggled for years to create different
applications capable of improving the  Project Management, Time
Management,Customers Evidence,Customers Billing, Employees Evidence,
Employees Status of your business.

Internet Browser.

      * Who' s it for?
        
This application was designed to improve the management of a software
providing company .
It can be also used by other businesses whose activities are based on
multiple projects and want to have a strict evidence of the time spent
for a project or task.

      * What does it do?
        
This application allows you to keep an evidence of your
customers,employees and most important, of your projects.It is a time
keeping tool that tracks the exact time spent working at a project,at a
specific task inside a project, on a period of time, and of course, this
might interest you most, of how your employees plan their working
day.When you start working at a project,don't forget to click on it, and
a timer starts counting.You can start and stop the timer as many times
as you need and at the end of the day the times are accumulated and
saved in a file.
        
This application is structured on the following issues:

1.Customers and users management ; 

The administrator can have a strict evidence both of the customers and
of the other users.
There are two different fields, one dedicated to the customers and the
other one to the users.The operations that can be done are the same:add
customer/user ( name, address, email and other details ), modify, add
different notes.

2. Project and Time Management;

This feature represents the strong point of the application.
Using Time Tracker you will be able to keep a strict evidence of 
your projects and of your working time.
You may add a project to your list by clicking on the "add project"
button. 
Project definition includes filling in several fields as:
	- project name;
	- project type: you can either choose one of the existing types
	either add a new project type;
	- project stages: there are some stages defined ( concept,planning,
development, testing, waiting ), but you may also introduce other stages
that fit to your project type;
	- customer details;
	- start date: the exact date you have started working at that project;
	- due date: the date when the project is expected to be completed;
	- the team working at the project;
	- the project administrator.
The project administrator organizes the work and sends
tasks to the members of the team.
When you receive a task, just click on it and a timer starts counting.
When you have finished working, click on it again and the timer stops.

        You can start and stop the timer as many times as needed
throughout a day.
        If you want to find out how much time you spent working at a
task, click on task details
        and you visualize the total times.

When you finish a task you update his stage to 100% and close it.
A task may be also reopened.
At the end of the day, if you haven't finished working at that task
you update its stage according to your evaluation.

The same task can be sent to more than one user. In this case users will
send subtasks
one to another. The parent task will be closed only by the
administrator after all the subtasks have been completed and closed. 

If you have forgotten to drink your coffee, and obviously to start
the timer, don't worry!!!This application allows you to manually
introduce what time you started working at that task and automatically
calculates the total.


3.Project Statistics (tasks times, stages times, total times, user times
)
The administrator has access to Statistics Field. He may visualize:   -
- project times ( the exact time spent in order to complete a project or
the times for the tasks inside a project ) ;
- daily times ( he may track how the time has been organized in a period
of time; all he has to do is to introduce the dates, and he will
visualize the lists of the projects and tasks that were completed within
those dates );
- users times ( he may find out how the users spent their time , in a
day or in a period of time ).
                                                                
Another facility provided by this application is the possibility to list
customers reports and internal reports.

The customers reports will be shown to the customers and they include:

                      * project stages;
                        
                      * stages times;
                        
                      * total times.
This facility allows you to bill your customers on times based on real
reports. 
The internal reports help you to track your employees.You will know
exactly how they organized their working days.

4. Inside Messaging Facility

If you are uncertain about one of the tasks that you have been given,
don't bother going and asking, just send a message and request more
detailed information.When you receive a message, you press the button
“read” and the sender will be notified that you have received and read
it.
Both sent and received messages are saved in a file and may be found in
the Message Archive Field.

5.Users Status Visualization 

There is a field named “Status”, that plays the role of an agenda. Each
user can introduce at any time his/her status so that the others will
know whether he/she is or not available. 

You can also note what project you are working at.The administrator may
check what the other users are doing at a specific moment.
